The Melting Pot
Restaurant in Philadelphia began as a small place in Maitland, Florida
in 1975. At the
time, it had only three items on the menu – beef fondue, Swiss cheese
fondue, and a dessert of milk chocolate fondue.
Fondue comes from a French verb meaning “to melt”. The concept originated in
Switzerland as a tasty way to use up hardened cheese. The simple idea
of fondue carried the restaurant’s founders a long way.
The restaurant built on this small concept and has
grown immensely, with more menu options and more than 70 restaurant
locations nationwide. Now,
the dining experience at the Melting Pot Restaurant in Philadelphia
consists of a fabulous four-course meal, with fondue still being a
consistent theme. The
combination dinner includes a choice of four different fondue styles
and a variety of meat entrees, such as boneless chicken breast, shrimp,
duck, salmon, beef, lobster, scallops, and much more.
Order one meat or any combination of the above. All can be
ordered with a variety of dipping sauces, and cheese fondues can be
ordered separately (price is included in the purchase of any
combination dinner). Each
entree is served with bread, vegetables, and a choice from one of three
different salads. And
don’t forget the Melting Pot Restaurant in Philadelphia also offers
creamy, delectable chocolate fondue desserts.
A growing wine list compliments the delicious menu
offered at the Melting Pot Restaurant in Philadelphia. Reservations
